*While this questionnaire was used in a study of newly diagnosed lung cancer patients, the Cancer Working Group deems it appropriate to use with the adult general population.

Measure to determine exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS)

Purpose

Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) increases risk of lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, and perhaps other cancers. To evaluate the role of tobacco exposure in any gene/environment interactions, an assessment of ETS should be made.
