Description
The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 25) is a 25-item self-report instrument that measures personal competence, effects of stress, acceptance of change and strong relationships, control, and spirituality. Each item is scored on a 5-point Likert scale (0 = “not true” to 4 = “true nearly all the time”). The scores from individual items are summed to give a score from 0 to 100, with higher scores reflecting greater resilience.

Description of Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 25)
The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale is a 25-item, self-report scale designed to measure the resilience and “ability to bounce back” of individuals across many populations. Scoring is based on the summing of the total of all items, each of which is scored 0-4. The full range is 0-100, with a higher score reflecting greater resilience. When evaluating the score, the status of the subject (student/adult/child) and the geographic region should be considered.
The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale requires a licensing agreement which can be accessed from CD-RISC Home Website: CD-RISC: Home (http://www.connordavidson-resiliencescale.com/index.php). The website also includes mean scores for specific populations.
