Description
Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) questions that assess number of pregnancies, kinds of complications, pregnancy status, alcohol, average cigarettes per day during pregnancy (not by trimester), and other tobacco product use.
Specific Instructions
This protocol was systematically updated to reflect the Wave 7 data collection of the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study. This protocol will be formally reviewed by a TRR Content Expert Panel early in 2024.

Selection Rationale
The PATH study collects information on number of pregnancies, kinds of complications, pregnancy status, and alcohol and tobacco use. The protocol collects average cigarette use per day during the 3 months before pregnancy, and the last 3 months of pregnancy (last trimester). It also collects information on use of electronic nicotine products, smokeless tobacco, snus, IQOS, hookah, and cigars (traditional, cigarillo, filtered) during the 3 months before pregnancy and the last 3 months of pregnancy (last trimester).
